AREQUIPA

Arequipa, Peru's second largest city was listed as a Cultural Heritage Site in 2000. Also known as the "White City" because many of its churches and colonial mansions are built from the volcanic ashlar. Three volcanoes rise above Arequipa, including the majestic Misti (5821 meters - 19.092 feet) can be seen from anywhere in the city. One of the main attractions of the city is the Convento de Santa Catalina, considered "a small city within a city, founded in 1580 by nuns and opened its doors in 1970. Colonial houses are also very well as the Casa del Moral and the Casa Goyeneche, in recent decades has become an important industrial and commercial center in Peru, being the second most industrialized city in Peru and the third city visited by tourists due to increased flow of  tourism it is advisable that you should take some precautions.  I recommend you   eat easily digestible foods and drink coca tea to prevent altitude sickness.
